Is AliExpress Legit?

One of the most significant issues confronting buyers on AliExpress is searching for honest AliExpress reviews to be sure AliExpress is safe to buy from and that they won’t be scammed.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much of an AliExpress review to be found, except for Trustpilot and reviews, which, in my opinion, are not enough for buyers to conclude if AliExpress is legit, safe, or a scam. So, is AliExpress legit?

AliExpress is a trustworthy online store based in China that sells high-quality and cheap products. AliExpress uses a well-structured buyer protection program and flexible refund policy to make sure that buying and selling are done safely, so it is 100% legit and safe.

So today, I’ll review Aliexpress, and tell you everything I know about it and my experience shopping for the world’s second-largest e-commerce store, to help you shape your decision about whether Aliexpress is legit or not.

Is Aliexpress Legit?

AliExpress is a 100% reliable and safe online store that protects both buyers and sellers with a top-notch buyer protection program and high-tech cybersecurity. AliExpress is a reliable global marketplace to buy from because it has one of the most flexible refund policies.

The platform does a good job of protecting its users and giving buyers a safe place to do business.

As a buyer, you’ll get a full refund if your goods don’t get to you on time, or the product description doesn’t match the one on the platform.

So AliExpress makes sure that buyer protection is included in every purchase made on the platform. This is a reasonable measure to make sure it is safe to buy from AliExpress.

How Aliexpress Buyer Protection Works

As previously stated, every item listed on AliExpress is protected by our buyer protection policy. So here is how buyer protection works in favor of every buyer:

If you receive the item(s) you bought and aren’t happy with them for whatever reason, you can contact the AliExpress support team to let them know what’s wrong.

The AliExpress support team will get in touch with the seller and give them a deadline for responding and resolving the problem.

If the seller refuses to rectify the problem after the stipulated time, you can open a dispute.

Wait for the seller to respond to the dispute within the specified time.

If the seller also fails to respond after the time given, AliExpress will go ahead and refund your money in full.

Aliexpress will close the dispute and send you the full refund within 14 days from the day the dispute was closed.

Objectives of the Buyer Protection Program

The goal of the Buyer Protection Program is to prevent unscrupulous sellers from shipping junk or fake items to the buyer.

By following this program to the letter, it has helped stop outright fraud on the platform. With this. I can confidently say AliExpress can be trusted.

What is AliExpress?

AliExpress is a reliable global online retailer based in China that uses a buyer protection program to keep its customers from being scammed.

It’s a popular option for businesses and individuals looking for low-cost items or products. Most companies around the world use AliExpress for dropshipping and other business models.

It’s a better alternative to Amazon, eBay, and other large e-commerce stores because of its cheap and quality products. You can find virtually any product you want on the platform.

Alibaba, a Chinese multinational technology company, owns AliExpress. Alibaba was started by Jack Ma, who launched AliExpress in 2010.

Jack Ma, the owner of AliExpress and Alibaba, was once China’s richest man and now has a net worth of about $35 billion.

Is AliExpress A Scam?

No, AliExpress is not a scam; it is a 100% reliable and legitimate e-commerce website for anyone to shop for quality and cheap products, regardless of where they’re located in the world.

Just as in every other small and large online marketplace like Amazon, Clickbank, eBay, etc., unscrupulous sellers who want to sell junk at the expense of unsuspecting buyers will always find their way in to make quick riches.

However, AliExpress is aware of all of these, which is why it has put in place measures to curtail all forms of illegal and shady activity.

AliExpress Scams Encountered By Buyers

AliExpress is doing everything it can to stop scams from happening on its platform, but some bad sellers have still come up with ways to trick buyers.

Here are some AliExpress scams that some evil sellers engage in.

1. Scam Of Dispute Closure

Here, the buyer will contact the buyer, who had earlier opened a dispute for the defective or junk item shipped to him or her.

The seller will use a subtle tune to cajole the buyer into closing the dispute with the promise that if he does so, he will get a full refund and a replacement of the item.

If the buyer closes the dispute, the seller will block him and never respond to any communication or email from the buyer anymore.

And immediately after a dispute is closed, it becomes extremely difficult to get a refund or replacement from AliExpress.

2. Scam of a Fake Tracking Code

Here, the seller will send a fake and programmed tracking number to the buyer.

The supposed items will be diverted to an imaginary address, where an imaginary person will also pick them up and sign, as was programmed in the backend.

When the buyer complains that the package has been picked up at a different location, the seller will say there is nothing he can do since the package has been delivered.

The buyer will be left with nothing, losing both money and goods.

3. Scam Of Lower-Cost Shipping

The seller will request that the buyer pay for expedited shipping to get his items immediately or as soon as possible.

But in the end, the seller will ship the item using standard, low-cost shipping that will take longer to get to the buyer’s address.

Tips for Shopping Safely on AliExpress

So here are some tips for shopping safely on AliExpress without getting scammed and at the same time getting cheap, quality goods.

When shopping on AliExpress, follow these safety tips.

1: Check the seller’s feedback

This is critical: Before purchasing from AliExpress, make sure you check all the feedback on the seller’s page or store. I have discussed how to check sellers’ feedback and the metrics to look out for.

2. Avoid branded goods.

The reason you should avoid branded goods is that if your goods are seized by the customs authority of your country because they are substandard, you will lose both money and the goods.

Furthermore, if the goods are in large quantities, you’ll lose a lot of money.

3. 100% Money-Back Guarantee

Ensure that all orders placed on the site are backed by a money-back guarantee.

Yes, of course, there is buyer protection for every item on AliExpress, but you still have to do a due diligence check.

4 Read Aliexpress Reviews

Look for genuine AliExpress reviews like the one you’re reading and see what others are saying.

The majority of the items on AliExpress are so inexpensive because the manufacturers, who sell their goods at wholesale prices, listed them directly on the website.
